Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Championship clash between Cardiff City and Birmingham City.

Cardiff City could move top of the Championship with victory over an improving Birmingham City side on Tuesday.

The Welsh outfit currently occupy second spot in the table with 16 points from eight games and enter the match fresh off the back of an impressive 3-0 win over Blackpool at the weekend.

Birmingham have been a bit of a mixed bag this season. They currently sit 14th in the table with 11 points from eight games, but they did win on the road against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

Cardiff secured a 1-0 win in the corresponding fixture last season, but the pair shared the points in a 1-1 draw at St Andrews in March.

Both sides have almost fully-fit squads to choose from, with the home side expected to name Craig Bellamy in attack. Meanwhile, Leroy Lita and Marlon King will attempt to provide the goal threat for the away side.

Recent form:

Cardiff: WWWLW
Birmingham: WDWLW

Possible lineups:

Cardiff: Marshall; McNaughton, Hudson, Connolly, Taylor; Mason, Gunarsson, Whittingham, Noone; Bellamy, Helguson

Birmingham: Butland; Hurst, Davies, Caldwell, Robinson; Burke, Fahey, Elliot, Spector; Lita, King

Sports Mole says: 2-2
