Cardiff City have secured promotion to the Premier League following their goalless draw with Charlton Athletic this evening.
The Bluebirds needed only a point to reach the English top flight as third-placed Watford could no longer close the gap in the Championship promotion race after their defeat to Millwall.
Malkay Mackay's side have returned to the top flight for the first time since the 1961-62 season after several failed attempts over the years, including a playoff final loss to Blackpool in 2010.
Mackay joined the Bluebirds in 2011 and has taken just two seasons to get his promoted to the top flight as they've dominated the Championship this season after surging ahead in the promotion race in November.
Cardiff will join Swansea City to be the second Welsh based club in the Premier League next season.
