Defending champions PEC Zwolle have reached the semi-finals of the KNVB Beker with an extra-time victory over fellow Eredivisie side Cambuur this evening.
The visitors took the lead at Cambuurstadion midway through the first half when Finnish defender Thomas Lam headed home Bart van Hintum's corner for his fourth goal in three KNVB Beker games this season.
Cambuur were close to responding quickly when Bartholomew Ogbeche was denied by Warner Hahn's save.
It would be Zwolle who scored the second goal, though, as Ryan Thomas found the net after being afforded too much time by the Cambuur defence.
Cambuur reacted well after conceding the second and were back on level terms thanks to two goals in five minutes from former Zwolle man Furdjel Narsingh.
Neither side was able to find a winner in normal time, so an extra 30 minutes was required.
In the extra period Zwolle scored the only goal soon after the interval through Jody Lukoki to book their place in the last four.
