Huddersfield Town loan Jake Carroll to Bury

Bury sign left-back Jake Carroll on loan from Huddersfield Town until March 22.

Bury have signed left-back Jake Carroll on an emergency loan from Huddersfield Town.

The 22-year-old moves to Lancashire until March 22, with Huddersfield having the option to recall him after 28 days.

"I am looking forward to observing how Jake does back in first-team action," Terriers manager Mark Robins told the club website.

"He impressed during his short spell in our first team at the start of the season, but his development has been affected lately through an ankle injury. He's not fighting fit and needs games."

Carroll, who has made seven appearances in total for Huddersfield this season, could make his Bury debut against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
