David Jones "delighted" to join Burnley

New Burnley signing David Jones has revealed his delight to have finally completed his move on a free transfer after leaving Wigan Athletic.

Jones had been training with Burnley for a few weeks before completing the deal and said that he is now looking forward to beginning the new season.

"I am just delighted to get it done. I've been training here a few weeks now and playing a few games, so I was pleased to finally push it through," he told reporters.

"I feel like this is the place for me and I got that right from the start, after speaking to the manager.

"I've been made to feel really welcome and I'm just eager to get the season underway now."

Jones spent the second half of last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers.
