Burnley boss Sean Dyche has suggested that he is yet to make a final decision regarding the future of Nahki Wells.
Dyche currently has three forwards at his disposal, with Matej Vydra having joined Chris Wood and Sam Vokes as the club's options in attack.
Derby County and Queens Park Rangers have both been linked with a loan bid, but Dyche has attempted to play down speculation regarding the player's future.
Dyche is quoted by the Lancashire Telegraph as saying: "Nahki is fighting for his chance to play and there's been a bit of interest in him from outside, but we haven't made a decision on that and neither has he.
"We're very open with our players, knowing what's right for them and what's right for us."
Wells has made just 10 substitute appearances for the Clarets since moving to Turf Moor 12 months ago.
