Eddie Howe misses out on breaking a club record thanks to Burnley's goalless draw at Leicester.

Burnley manager Eddie Howe is frustrated to have missed out on equalling a club record in the draw at Leicester City.

The Clarets came into the game having won 10 away league matches this season, and wins in their final two away fixtures against Leicester and Blackpool would have earned Howe's side a new record.

However, Burnley played out a 0-0 draw at the Walkers Stadium, meaning that Howe can only equal the record should his side beat Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

"It's another clean sheet, which is really pleasing for us, but we said before the game that we were desperate to go for the 12 wins and make history for the football club," said Howe.

"But it's a good point really. In the first half I thought we were excellent. We had some great moves, especially in the first half on the counter attack, and we created some decent chances and on another day I'd like to think we could have taken one of them.

"In the second half it was more defensive from us as Leicester were on top but I still thought we had the best chances in the game."

Burnley are now 11th in the Championship with just two matches left to play.
