Bristol City defender Karleigh Osborne is ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury suffered in training while on loan at AFC Wimbledon.

Bristol City defender Karleigh Osborne has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury while on loan in League Two with AFC Wimbledon.

The 27-year-old, who is on a season-long loan with the Dons, suffered the problem in training recently.

Osborne said on Twitter that he would "get fit and ripped" while making his recovery.

"Unfortunately was a sad day for me as I was told my season has been cut short coz of my injury but only one thing to do...get fit and ripped," he wrote.

Osborne made 25 appearances during his stint with Wimbledon.
