Newcastle United have reportedly rejected an offer from Brighton & Hove Albion for striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Sun reports that the bid, which was tabled by Chris Hughton's side on Tuesday, was below Newcastle's asking price of £15m for the Serbian.
Magpies manager Rafael Benitez is allegedly willing to let Mitrovic leave St James' Park, but only if the player's valuation is met.
The 23-year-old forward, who is on the peripheries of Benitez's squad, is understood to be seeking game time ahead of this summer's World Cup finals in Russia.
Newcastle have already added to their squad this month after signing Chelsea winger Kenedy on loan until the end of the season.
