Result: Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 Barnsley

Goals from Gordon Greer and Ryan Harley give Gus Poyet's Brighton their first league victory in ten games.

Gus Poyet's Brighton picked up their first win in 10 league games by beating Barnsley at the Amex Stadium this afternoon.

Captain Gordon Greer put the Seagulls ahead just before half time with a low shot from inside the area.

The lead was doubled when Ryan Harley picked up the rebound from Craig Mackail-Smith's effort that hit the crossbar and fired low.

The home side climb into the top half of the Championship, while Barnsley, who have not won away from home since August, drop one place to 19th.
