Half-Time Report: Goalless between Brentford, Nottingham Forest at Griffin Park

Neither side can break the deadlock in the opening 45 minutes of the Championship clash between Brentford and Nottingham Forest at Griffin Park.

Alan Judge's return to the starting lineup has been unable to inspire Brentford to break the deadlock in their Championship clash against Nottingham Forest after 45 minutes.

The Bees pressed in the early stages of the match and Forest were grateful to a vital interception from David Vaughan as he stopped Jon Swift's cutback from finding an unmarked Judge in the six-yard box.

Dougie Freedman's men almost took the lead when Jamie Ward beat his man down the right and sent a through-ball behind the Brentford defence for Nelson Oliveira, but the striker was denied by David Button.

Oliveira pounced on a mistake in the Brentford defence to bear down on goal, but once again he was denied by a good save from Button.

The Bees almost punished the visitors for their lack of clinical edge as Judge powered an effort towards the top corner, which beat the outstretched hand of Dorus de Vries but went wide of the post.
