Half-Time Report: Brentford holding Birmingham City at the break

Visitors Birmingham City go in level at half time in their Championship fixture with Brentford.

Lee Carsley's Brentford side are holding Birmingham City to a goalless draw at half time in their Championship clash at Griffin Park this evening.

David Cotterill cut inside from the right and curled a left-footed effort narrowly wide inside the opening 10 minutes as the hosts started brightly.

However, Bees striker Marco Djuricin then went close twice in quick succession with well-hit strikes that troubled Tomasz Kuszczak but went narrowly wide.

Djuricin then somehow failed to turn home Ryan Woods's back-post cross, instead firing tamely into the arms of the grateful Kuszczak.

Cotterrill saw his header from Stephen Gleeson's cross palmed away by David Button on the half-hour mark, before Button made another stop from Michael Morrison to keep his side level at the break.
