Luis Felipe Scolari to drop striker for Brazil's World Cup quarter-final?

Brazil manager Luis Felipe Scolari is reportedly considering dropping Fred and going without a recognised striker for their World Cup quarter-final against Colombia.

Luis Felipe Scolari is believed to be considering going without a recognised striker for Brazil's World Cup quarter-final against Colombia in Fortaleza on Friday.

First-choice frontman Fred, who has scored one goal in four games, has been criticised for his performances, while Jo has not convinced as a lone frontman either.

According to The Mirror, Scolari may opt to leave out both of his traditional forwards, and instead shift winger Hulk inside and bring in an extra body in midfield to try to combat the threat of James Rodriguez, the top scorer at the tournament with five goals.

With Luis Gustavo suspended, both Paulinho and Ramires could be recalled in the centre of the park.

Talisman Neymar will also be included in the starting XI after shaking off knee and thigh injury worries.
