Luiz Felipe Scolari: 'Draw was a fair result'

Luiz Felipe Scolari believes that Brazil's goalless draw with Mexico was a fair result as the hosts edged a step closer to qualifying for the second round.

Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe has admitted that his side can have no complaints after being held to a goalless draw by Mexico on Tuesday night.

Despite declaring himself pleased with the performance in their second Group A fixture, Scolari was eager to once again warn the players against complacency during the tournament.

"I am satisfied. It was a good game, both teams showed they wanted the goal, showed quality, teamwork, physical strength. The 0-0 reflects well how the game was," the 65-year-old told Sportv.

"Brazil have been playing the same way for the last 20 games, we showed quality, but the draw is not a good result.

"We're facing good teams, we have to remember that. We have to respect our opposition."

Brazil can secure their place in the second round against Cameroon on Monday.
