Mano Menezes defends Brazil's Copa America exit after they failed to convert a single penalty against Paraguay.

Brazil coach Mano Menezes has defended his side's quarter-final exit from the Copa America.

The Brazilians failed to convert a single penalty in their 2-0 shootout defeat against Paraguay.

"It's important to keep calm after a loss and avoid thinking that it was all negative," he said.

"We lost to a team which hasn't won a match yet and now has reached the semi-finals. But that's football and we have to learn how to live with that to avoid compromising the work that we've done so far."

The eight-time winners claimed victory in only one of their group fixtures, drawing the other two.
