League One roundup: Swindon Town sink Peterborough United

Swindon Town move to within a point of League One leaders Bristol City after beating Peterborough United.

Swindon Town have kept pressure on League One leaders Bristol City after beating Peterborough United.

Andy Williams opened the scoring for the Robins and Jonathan Obika added a second to seal three points for Town at London Road.

MK Dons are now fourth in the table after a slender 1-0 win over Port Vale, with Carl Baker's third-minute strike proving enough for Karl Robinson's side

Leyton Orient finally secured their first win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra, with Gianvito Plasmati, Chris Dagnall and Dean Cox all getting on the scoresheet for the O's.

Notts County remain in the playoff positions, but were beaten by Yeovil Town after two late Jordan Clarke goals gave the Somerset outfit victory.

Rochdale dropped to ninth after Doncaster Rovers came from behind to win at Spotland. Matt Done had given the Lancashire side a lead, but late goals from Theo Robinson and Curtis Main capped off a win for the visitors.

Scunthorpe United missed an opportunity to boost their survival hopes after two goals in four minutes from Dean Leacock and Izale McLeod gave Crawley Town a point.

Fellow strugglers Colchester United also received a late body blow when Gary Madine's 74th-minute strike earned Coventry City victory in Essex.

Walsall moved further away from danger after winning 1-0 at Fleetwood Town, thanks to a Romaine Sawyers goal.

Eoin Doyle scored twice to give Chesterfield victory over local rivals Barnsley, while Leon Legge's own goal consigned Gillingham to defeat at Bradford City.
