Bournemouth reportedly finalise a deal to bring manager Eddie Howe back to the League One outfit.

Burnley manager Eddie Howe has reportedly completed his return to League One side Bournemouth following the sacking of Paul Groves.

The 34-year-old, who left the Cherries for Turf Moor last year, has been the overwhelming favourite to move back to Bournemouth, despite Burnley's attempts to cool speculation surrounding their boss.

The Championship club confirmed yesterday that the Cherries had made an "unwanted approach" for the coach.

It is believed that despite Burnley's initial unwillingness to lose Howe, the manager has agreed to return to Dean Court, according to Sky Sports News.

Howe's previous coaching stint with the Cherries lasted three years.
