Preview: Bolton Wanderers vs. Rotherham United

Sports Mole looks ahead to Tuesday's Championship encounter between winless Bolton and Rotherham at the Reebok Stadium.

Bolton Wanderers will be desperate to pick up their first win of the season on Tuesday night when they host Rotherham United in the Championship.

The Trotters are currently two points adrift of safety in the table after earning just two points from their opening six matches of the campaign.

Dougie Freedman's side head into the game on the back of a goalless draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday - a result that ended a run of three consecutive defeats.

Meanwhile, Rotherham sit in 18th place in the standings thanks to two wins and a draw in their last five outings. Victory in midweek could lift the newly-promoted team into the top half of the standings.

Andy Lonergan is due to continue in goal for Bolton after the club confirmed on Saturday that first-choice shotstopper Adam Bogdan would be out of action for around eight weeks with a broken finger.

Rotherham boss Steve Evans is likely to name a similar starting XI to the one that drew 1-1 with Bournemouth at the weekend.
