Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon: 'We will continue as normal'

Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon reveals that the players will continue to work as normal despite the club's failure to pay their wages for November.

Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon has said that life will continue as normal despite the club's failure to pay the players for November.

The Trotters announced that a "short-term funding issue" was the reason behind the problem involving the players' wages.

However, Bolton managed to put their troubles aside to come from behind and earn a point in their Championship clash against Brentford at the Macron Stadium thanks to a second-half strike from Neil Danns.

"I'm determined to carry on here, it's a great challenge," Lennon told Sky Sports News. "It's not something I've been through before but I'm not going to let the things that are out of my control affect me and we'll just work away with the players as normal.

"There will be a meeting tomorrow with Trevor Birch and probably a representative from the PFA and we'll go through the process with the players tomorrow.

"The players' reaction has been good. They were a little bit surprised obviously but you can see the reaction tonight, they gave it everything out there. I'm pretty sure the wages will get done and the investment will come into the club, so we just try to keep them quite cool and concentrated on the game and we've done that tonight."

Bolton remain bottom of the Championship following the draw, four points adrift of safety.
