Stuart Holden has claimed that he will stay at Bolton Wanderers beyond the end of this season regardless of whether the club are relegated from the Premier League.
The USA international has struggled with a knee injury for over a year but insists that his future lies at the Reebok Stadium when he eventually does return.
Holden told The Bolton News: "There's nothing I can do and that's the hardest part for me. I can't affect the results on the pitch in terms of playing.
"But I am happy at Bolton Wanderers and I know that this is the right place for me.
"I'm a part of this club and you live and die by that. You ride the high waves and you ride the low ones."
Owen Coyle's team are currently 18th in the Premier League and must beat Stoke City on Sunday to give themselves any chance of avoiding relegation.
