Ipswich Town secure first away win of season

Frank Nouble and Paul Taylor score second-half goals to give Ipswich Town a 3-2 victory away at Blackpool.

Ipswich Town secured their first away win of the season as second-half goals from Frank Nouble, Paul Taylor and Daryl Murphy gave the Tractor Boys a 3-2 victory over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

Stephen Dobbie almost created a goal for his side in the second minute, but Ricardo Fuller's tame effort bobbled straight at Dean Gerken.

Ryan Tunnicliffe thought that he had given the away side a 20th-minute lead, but a number of Blackpool players managed to scramble the ball away.

Three minutes later Dobbie put the Seasiders ahead with a header from Bobby Grant's cross.

Grant almost doubled Blackpool's lead on the half-hour mark, but Gerken tipped the midfielder's volley over the bar.

The visitors introduced Nouble and Taylor at the break and switched to a 4-3-3 formation in search for an equaliser, which arrived with 25 minutes remaining.

David McGoldrick made a surging run from deep before laying the ball off to Nouble, who slotted it beyond Matt Gilks.

Nouble almost got his second five minutes later, but was denied by a Gary MacKenzie tackle.

With five minutes remaining, Nouble's fellow substitute Taylor completed the turnaround as he skipped around his marker and rifled the ball into the back of the net.

However, in the 90th minute, Steve Davies looked to have rescued a point for Paul Ince's side, only for Murphy to nod the ball underneath Gilks to give Ipswich a dramatic victory.
