Blackpool boss Paul Ince charged with three counts of misconduct

Blackpool boss Paul Ince is charged by the FA with three counts of misconduct towards a match official following his side's match against Bournemouth.

The Football Association have announced that Blackpool manager Paul Ince has been charged with three counts of misconduct following his side's clash against Bournemouth.

During his side's 2-1 win over the Cherries at the weekend, the 45-year-old threw a water bottle in frustration, accidentally hitting a female steward in the leg.

After apologising to the steward, Ince was approached by the referee, who was informed of the incident by the fourth official during the match, and sent off to the stands.

A statement from the FA said: "The charges are that Ince; used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official; his behaviour towards a match official constituted violent conduct; and that he used threatening words and/or behaviour towards a match official."

Blackpool assistant manager Alex Rae has also been charged for alleged "threatening behaviour towards a match official in or around the tunnel at the end of the match".

Both men have until 6pm tomorrow to respond to the charges.
