Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has challenged his players to become club legends by beating Brighton & Hove Albion tonight.

The fierce rivals meet in the first leg of their Championship playoff semi-final at Selhurst Park this evening, and Holloway is urging his team to relish the occasion.

He said: "I'll be challenging one of my lads to be a hero and a Palace legend.

"Let's have a go. I don't think either set of supporters would fancy this game. They would prefer it to be a final. Even that would be their worst nightmare.

"Who would Palace hate to lose to the most? Brighton. That is what the playoffs throw up."

Palace go into the tie as slight underdogs, having won just one of their last 10 games.
