Blackpool defender Ian Evatt will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

Blackpool centre-back Ian Evatt has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

The 31-year-old has not played for the Championship side since November and it has now been revealed that the club's longest-serving player will miss the remaining 18 matches of the season.

Blackpool caretaker manager Steve Thompson told reporters: "He's been down to London to see one of the main specialists and he'll now be out for the foreseeable future."

Evatt has made 12 appearances for Blackpool this season.
