Blackburn Rovers co-owner Venkatesh Rao has revealed that the board have met with manager Steve Kean and his players to tell them that they need results soon.
The team have recently been in India on a promotional tour, but a series of poor results in the Premier League have left them 19th in the table.
Fans have also expressed their unhappiness at the current situation and have planned a new protest before their home game against Tottenham Hostpur on Sunday, October 23.
"Believe me, it was frank and straight and we need results," Rao told Sky Sports News.
"Everyone is looking forward - from the players to the manager to the owners.
"Now, after this meeting and the team coming especially to India, they have had a refreshing time, and I think they will go with a positive note after this meeting."
Rovers resume their Premier League campaign away at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
