Viv Solomon-Otabor signs new Birmingham City deal

Young winger Viv Solomon-Otabor signs a new three-and-a-half year contract with Championship side Birmingham City.

Birmingham City have announced that young winger Viv Solomon-Otabor has signed a new long-term contract at St Andrew's.

The 20-year-old, who was due to be out of contract this summer, has signed a fresh deal that runs until the end of the 2018-19 season.

Solomon-Otabor broke into the Blues first team earlier this season and has gone on to make 16 appearances in all competitions for Gary Rowett's side.

He also scored his first goal in November against Fulham, and Rowett compared him to the recently-departed Demarai Gray.

Solomon-Otabor could have an increased role in the second half of the season, with Gray unlikely to return on loan after joining Leicester City.
