Birmingham City sign David Davis from Wolverhampton Wanderers

Birmingham City complete the signing of David Davis from fellow Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.

Birmingham City have completed the signing of David Davis from fellow Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old signs a two-year contract with the Blues, with the option of a further year, and could make his debut in tomorrow night's Capital One Cup tie against Cambridge United.

"It's a very good move for him, it's a great opportunity. He's an excellent character," Wolves manager Kenny Jackett told the club's website.

"There's midfield players that are ahead of him at present and going to Birmingham gives him a great opportunity now to take his career further."

Davis, who made 18 league appearances for Wolves last season, almost joined Barnsley on loan earlier this summer.
