Birmingham City confirm that Pablo Ibanez does not require hospital treatment after being stretchered off against Club Brugge with a head injury.

Birmingham City have confirmed that defender Pablo Ibanez does not need hospital treatment after he suffered a head injury against Club Brugge.

The Spaniard was stretchered off in Belgium after he clashed heads with Brugge striker Josephy Akapala in the Blues's 2-1 Europa League victory.

City have since said that the 30-year-old is "sore and shaken" but will not be going to hospital.

Ibanez signed for the Championship side over the summer from Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion.
