Goals from Piti and Leo Bapistao were enough to secure the points as Rayo made it two wins from two this season.

Rayo got off to a flyer when Piti scored after just three minutes, but Betis hit back within two minutes as Jorge Molina grabbed his third goal of the season.

Man of the match Bapistao grabbed the winner just after the hour mark.

Rayo host Sevilla next weekend, while Betis welcome Atletico Madrid.
