Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that the club are looking to extend the contract of Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic.
Rummenigge said that despite the Bavarian side having landed the signing of Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, Mandzukic still has an important role to play.
"We will keep Mandzukic and will try to extend his contract," he told Bild. "I don't have the feeling that he'd be averse to that."
Mandzukic joined Bayern in 2012 from Wolfsburg.
