Mario Mandzukic and Mitchell Wesier both score in the second half as hosts Bayern Munich beat Sao Paulo 2-0 in the Audi Cup.

Hosts Bayern Munich scored two second-half goals to beat Brazilian side Sao Paulo 2-0 in the Audi Cup and reach the final of the pre-season friendly tournament.

Bayern will face Manchester City in the final after Manuel Pellegrini's side were involved in a 5-3 win against AC Milan earlier today.

Coach Pep Guardiola named a strong side for the clash at the Allianz Arena, with Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm and Arjen Robben all given starting berths.

It was the away side who had the game's first opening, though, as Aloiso raced clear and stung the palms of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer with a low drive.

Bayern controlled the majority of the first half, as first Robben and then Franck Ribery tested Rogerio Ceni in the visitors' goal.

Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic was introduced at the break as the home side looked to make their first-half dominance pay, and it took the marksman less than 10 minutes to get on the scoresheet.

Robben, who tormented the Brazilian side all evening with his pace and trickery, sent a teasing cross into the path of Mandzukic, who made no mistake in firing the ball home.

Mandzukic had a glorious chance to extend his and Bayern's lead, but Ceni thwarted him with a good save.

There was nothing Ceni could do to prevent Bayern's second goal in the 87th minute, which was courtesy of 19-year-old Mitchell Weiser.

No sooner had the home side doubled their advantage than Jerome Boateng conceded a needless penalty, but Neuer leapt to his left to keep out the spot kick and ensure his side's passage to the final.
