Report: Swansea City paying over £7m for Renato Sanches loan

Swansea City are paying Bayern Munich over £7m for the loan of Renato Sanches, plus most of his £50,000-a-week wages, according to a report.

A report has claimed that Swansea City are paying Bayern Munich over £7m for the loan of Renato Sanches, plus most of his £50,000-a-week wages.

The 20-year old was tipped as one of the stars of the future after impressing at Benfica and helping Portugal to the Euro 2016 trophy.

However, Sanches has so far failed to reproduce his stellar form at Bayern and has also struggled to make an impact at Swansea since arriving from the Bundesliga in the summer.

According to Sky Sports News, the loan agreement has no break clause, which would have allowed Swansea to let the midfielder return to his parent club in January.

The report also suggests that the contract does not provide Swansea with an option to buy Sanches at the end of the loan.

Sanches was substituted at half time during last weekend's goalless draw with Bournemouth and in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat at Chelsea.
