Bayern Munich have earmarked Jurgen Klopp as their preferred candidate for the first-team manager's role, according to a report.
The Bundesliga giants dismissed Carlo Ancelotti earlier in the season and have seen their form improve under veteran coach Jupp Heynckes.
However, the 72-year-old - in his fourth spell as head coach at Bayern - has recently reiterated his intention to step down at the end of the season.
According to Bild, the Bavarians have four potential candidates in mind for the permanent role, with the Liverpool manager seen as the most viable option.
Former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel, Germany manager Joachim Low and Hoffenheim head coach Julian Nagelsmann are also believed to be on Bayern's radar.
