Arjen Robben not interested in management career after hanging up boots

Arjen Robben is not interested in a career in management after hanging up his boots, due to the stress and pressure that come with the role.

Arjen Robben has suggested that he will not pursue a career in management after hanging up his boots.

The 34-year-old has worked with a number of high-profile coaches over the years, including Jose Mourinho, Jupp Heynckes, Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola.

However, Robben - whose current Bayern Munich deal expires at the end of the season - is not interested in life in the dugout due to the pressure that comes with the job.

"From time to time I train the team of my son, that's a lot of fun. But to say that one day I want to be a head coach at the highest level, I find that difficult," Robben told Sport Buzzer.

"I see every day what stress there is, what kind of pressure. I have been playing for 18 years and the pressure on coaches has got bigger all the time. That raises the question: Do I really need that? I really do not know if I feel like it."

Robben has also claimed that he is not planning to retire from professional football just yet and sees himself playing at the highest level for at least another year.
