Leicester City are reportedly close to signing Brazilian defender Dante from Bayern Munich for £5m.

Leicester City are reportedly close to signing Bayern Munich defender Dante.

The 31-year-old joined the Bundesliga champions from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012, but has slipped behind Medhi Benatia and Jerome Boateng in the pecking order under Pep Guardiola.

According to the Sunday People, Leicester are close to signing the Brazilian for £5m.

Dante signed a contract extension at Bayern last summer, but Guardiola is happy for the centre-back to leave according to the newspaper.

After making his international debut in 2013, Dante has made 13 appearances for Brazil.
