Philipp Lahm 'frustrated' by Bayern Munich defeat

Bayern Munich skipper Philipp Lahm admits that his side made it "too easy" for Barcelona during their Champions League semi-final first-leg defeat at Camp Nou.

Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has admitted that his side made it "too easy" for Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final this evening.

Barca took themselves to the verge of a first final in four years courtesy of a 3-0 victory at Camp Nou, with all of their goals coming in the final 13 minutes.

Lahm described the nature of the goals as "frustrating", with Lionel Messi scoring twice before a late Neymar third on the break put the tie seemingly beyond Bayern.

"We got caught on the counter three times - that's frustrating. We had our chances, but we made it too easy for them," Lahm told reporters.

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola, who made his return to Camp Nou this evening, has since played down his side's chances of overturning the three-goal deficit in Tuesday's second leg at the Allianz Arena.
