Danny Wilson 'to be named new Barnsley manager today'

Barnsley will reportedly name Danny Wilson as their new manager at a press conference this afternoon.

Barnsley are reportedly poised to announce the return of Danny Wilson as the club's new manager.

The Championship outfit have been in the hunt for a new boss since last month following the dismissal of David Flitcroft, who has since gone on to take charge at Bury.

However, Barnsley's managerial search is now over as they plan to announce the appointment of Wilson at a press conference at 3pm today, according to Sky Sports News.

Wilson had a successful four-year spell at the club before leaving Oakwell in 1998.
