Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella is reportedly keen to select Lionel Messi in his upcoming squad, despite the Barcelona forward's recent injury troubles.
The 26-year-old is currently on the sidelines with a thigh problem, which has been given a timescale of around three weeks.
The strain had appeared to rule him out of his country's World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay next month, but reports in Argentina have suggested that Sabella will request to bring his star player into the squad.
It is believed that the Catalan outfit are not entirely against the idea, but would request that Messi is joined on the trip by a member of their medical staff.
