Borussia Monchengladbach director of sport Max Eberl is confident that Marc-Andre ter Stegen will commit his long-term future to the German outfit.
The 21-year-old has been widely linked with a move to Barcelona, who are in the market for a new goalkeeper as they prepare for life after Victor Valdes.
However, Eberl has revealed that the two parties have had "some very good talks" over the last couple of weeks.
"We've had some very good talks," Eberl told the Rheinische Post.
"In the end, it is up to Marc to decide. There are many advantages for him to stay here and Marc is a clever guy, but for sure we need an answer at some stage."
Ter Stegen has three Germany caps to his name.
