Ronald Koeman 'wants to bring Memphis Depay to Barcelona'

New Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman is reportedly keen to bring Lyon attacker Memphis Depay to Camp Nou during this summer's transfer window.

The Catalan giants are expected to overhaul their squad ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, with a number of players both leaving and arriving at the club in the coming weeks.

According to RAC1, Koeman has identified Memphis as a possible acquisition, with the former Manchester United attacker starring under the new Barca boss for the Netherlands.

The 26-year-old also enjoyed a strong 2019-20 campaign at club level despite picking up a serious knee injury, scoring 15 times in 22 appearances in all competitions.

Lyon allegedly value Memphis in the region of €55m (£49m), although the asking price could drop as his contract in France is due to expire next summer.

Barca are also believed to be eyeing a move for fellow Dutchman Georginio Wijnaldum.
