Dynamo Kiev attacker Andriy Yarmolenko reportedly turned down a move to Everton on transfer deadline day after being told that Barcelona will make a move over the next 12 months.
It is understood that both Everton and Liverpool made moves to sign the 25-year-old on Tuesday, but the Ukraine international was not interested in a move to the Premier League.
According to Sport, Yarmolenko has been made aware of Barcelona's interest and was told that a bid from the Catalan giants would arrive either in January or next summer.
An earlier report had said that the Spanish side were not interested in a deal this summer, but their situation will change in January, when their transfer embargo comes to an end.
Barcelona signed both Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal this summer, but neither can feature until January.
