Report: Everton join Cristian Tello race

A report claims that Everton have joined Atletico Madrid in the race to sign Barcelona's Cristian Tello.

Atletico Madrid will reportedly face competition from Everton if they push ahead with their attempts to sign Cristian Tello from Barcelona.

While an official offer has not been submitted by Atletico, it is widely understood that head coach Diego Simeone will move for the Spaniard this summer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, however, Premier League side Everton, who had Barca's Gerard Deulofeu on loan last season, are interested in the attacker.

Tello is expected to leave the Camp Nou this summer in search of regular first-team football.

However, any move is unlikely to be rubber-stamped until after the World Cup.
