Barcelona are on course to complete the signing of Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt, according to a report.
There had been suggestions in the Spanish press that Barca had missed out on the £51m-rated Netherlands international to Juventus.
However, Sport now claims that the Catalan giants are closing in on De Ligt's signature, as talks are progressing nicely with his agent Mino Raiola.
The in-demand 19-year-old is said to be focusing on Ajax's treble bid for the time being, with six more Eredivisie matches to play, as well as a Champions League double-header against Juventus and the Dutch Cup final against Willem II.
Negotiations are not expected to be straightforward, however, but it is thought that Barca will offer the centre-back a near-identical deal to the one awarded to teammate Frenkie de Jong, who is to swap clubs ahead of next season.
De Ligt is convinced that Camp Nou is the logical next step in his way to the top, it is claimed, despite tough competition for places.
