Report: Bayern Munich want Aymeric Laporte

A report claims that Bayern Munich want to sign Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly interested in signing Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte at the end of the season.

The French centre-back is widely regarded as one of the most talented teenagers in European football, with his performances this season drawing a host of outside interest.

According to Kicker, Bayern are prepared to make their move at the end of the campaign and will offer in the region of £16m for a player who is under contract in Spain until 2018.

The same report, however, has claimed that Bilbao will hold out for closer to £28m for the 19-year-old.

Barcelona are also believed to be in the running, but their recent transfer ban has scuppered any potential move.
