Barcelona have announced that they have reached an agreement with Pedri over a new five-year contract.
The 18-year-old's previous deal at Camp Nou had been due to expire next summer, although the Catalan outfit had the option of activating a two-year extension.
Barcelona have been working to increase Pedri's wages, though, as the midfielder has been a key player for the La Liga outfit since arriving from Las Palmas in June 2020.
The club announced on Thursday afternoon that an agreement had been reached, and the teenager will officially pen the contract until June 2026 on Friday.
The agreement includes a release clause of €1bn (£850m), which has protected the Spain international's valuation amid Barcelona's financial problems.
Pedri has scored four times and registered six assists in 56 appearances for Ronald Koeman's side since joining the club, while he has also become an important player for his national side.
