Sevilla director of football Monchi has insisted that Federico Fazio "is very happy" at the club amid speculation of a move away from the Estadio Ramon.

Sevilla director of football Monchi has insisted that Federico Fazio "is very happy" at the club amid speculation of a move away from the Estadio Ramon.

The Argentine centre-back, who has been with Sevilla since 2007, has been one of the standout performers in La Liga this season.

A number of European clubs have been linked with a move, including Barcelona, but Monchi has quelled talk that the 6'5" defender could depart.

"He is very happy at Sevilla and there is no concern about him leaving," Monchi told Marca.

Monchi has also insisted that Ivan Rakitic will not depart Sevilla this summer.
