Leeds United are reportedly set to send scouts to watch Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir during this month's international break.
The 25-year-old has been a standout performer for the Super Lig leaders this season, keeping 11 clean sheets in 33 appearances across all competitions.
According to Turkish news outlet Fanatik, Leeds have stepped up their interest in Cakir ahead of this summer's transfer window and they are keeping a close eye on the player's development for club and country.
The 17-cap Turkey international is expected to play between the sticks in their crucial World Cup playoff fixture against Portugal on March 24, and Leeds scouts are set to be in attendance at the Estadio do Dragao to watch the goalkeeper.
The report adds that fellow Premier League side Newcastle United and La Liga outfit Sevilla are also keeping tabs on Cakir, who is valued in the region of €20m (£16.6m).
Leeds could potentially be in the market for a new number one if first-choice stopper Illan Meslier, who has been linked with Barcelona, departs Elland Road this summer.
Trabzonspor midfielder Abdulkadir Omur is also believed to be attracting interest from European clubs and he will also be monitored by scouts in Portugal this week.
