Inter Milan 'near Ivan Rakitic agreement'

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic is reportedly nearing an agreement with Inter Milan.

Rakitic has again been a key player for the Spanish champions this season, making 51 appearances in all competitions.

The 31-year-old will see his current deal at Camp Nou expire in June 2021, however, and there was speculation last summer that the Croatia international was approaching the end of his time in Spain.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Inter have agreed a fee of £43m for the midfielder, who has five goals and nine assists to his name this term.

Barca, who are chasing another domestic double, have Frenkie de Jong arriving from Ajax to boost their midfield options this summer.
