Lionel Messi's father and agent has insisted that his son has no intention of leaving Barcelona.
Speaking to an Argentine newspaper yesterday, the 27-year-old described his situation at the Camp Nou as "complicated", which resulted in reports that he could be angling for a move away in the future.
However, when asked for his reaction to that speculation, Jorge Messi was quick to stress that the playmaker is happy to remain with the Catalan outfit.
"Right now I can say there's nothing whatsoever in it. Our plan is to stay here, but since people read between the lines, they end up going overboard," Marca quotes Messi senior as saying.
"Obviously if the club turns around one day and says 'this offer has come in and we want to sell you', we'll have to look into it. At the moment, though, we're not even thinking about that."
Messi has scored 11 goals in his 15 outings in all competitions this season.
