Argentina legend Hernan Crespo claims that Lautaro Martinez 'requires three more years' at Inter Milan before moving to another club.

Hernan Crespo has urged Lautaro Martinez to snub a move to Barcelona in favour of remaining at Inter Milan.

Having scored 16 goals in Serie A and the Champions League this season, Martinez is being tipped to make the switch to Camp Nou during the next transfer window.

However, Argentine compatriot Crespo, a former Inter player, has claimed that the 22-year-old must continue his development at San Siro.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Crespo said: "He must stay at Inter without doubt for a simple reason. He did well in Argentina with Racing, he arrived at Inter and for one season he was on the bench, then he was promoted to being a starter.

"This is his first season as an indispensable player. He needs at least three years to finish growing, then he can think about a transfer elsewhere."

Although Martinez still has over three years remaining on his contract, the striker is said to have a £96m release clause in his deal.
